Curia Global

Curia Global (formerly AMRI), a CDMO in the pharmaceutical industry, needed a new website to go along with their new identity. For their online presence, they required the cataloguing of an enormous amount of technical, industry-specific information, logically organized and easily navigable. Information needed to be categorized with a customized taxonomy that would not only facilitate search but also succeed in building SEO in an organic and useful way. The resulting site harnessed the flexibility of WordPress by incorporating customized navigation, site search, category filters, lead generators, and CRM integration, while providing fast bandwidth, even in high traffic situations. Additionally, there is a fair bit of customization in the CMS to help site editors more easily update existing content or add new content.

VSA Chicago office common space meeting area

VSA Partners LLC

Some branding agencies outsource their website development to avoid the inherent conflict of needing a great website vs. the allocation of resources to essentially unbillable work. VSA took a different tack: they actually understood that the company website is a vital and important marketing tool, deserving of the investment of time and expertise, and treated it like a client project. The result provides a media-rich summary of VSA’s core capabilities, incorporating subtle animation as visual prompts to get the user interested and oriented. There is a work portfolio, company news, and a blog which showcases VSA’s corporate philosophy, brags about staff accomplishments, and provides industry-specific thought leadership in a timely and relevant way. The site CMS was custom built to provide an easy updating experience for the marketing department, leveraging a modern React/Next/Strapi technology stack, containerized CI/CD pipeline, staging environments, and robust documentation.

Futures Fundamentals

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange wanted an educational site where derivatives, futures, options, and other financial instruments could be explained in clear, everyday language, and then examined in the context of real-world exchanges and markets. Through illustration, animation, video, and information graphics, Futures Fundamentals delivers on this concept, establishing a resource for students and educators alike. The charming design and straightforward writing style provide an approachable and friendly environment with which to satisfy a novice trader’s curiosity and kick-start their imagination. CSS/JS-based animations can be found throughout the site, highlighting how these technologies can be used to inform and delight.

56 Leonard Sky Villa night rendering

56 Leonard

Featuring large-format photorealistic architectural renderings and photography, this website showcases a TriBeCa building truly deserving of the term landmark. Dubbed the “Jenga tower,” 56 Leonard also features the first permanent public work in NYC by sculptor Anish Kapoor, integrated into the building itself. The website has gone through several iterations since it first appeared circa 2010, from Flash-based teaser site, to full-blown sales generator site and, finally, legacy site, providing a press page for news about the building. I have designed, developed, and maintained the site for over a decade, and remain the developer of record.

Jardim Sul Penthouse Grand

Jardim

Real estate branding is a thriving concern in NYC, and I was often brought in to build websites for my various design agency clients who specialized in real estate. Jardim was one of my favorite projects as it showcased not only the features and amenities of a beautiful new apartment building, but also other works by world-famous architect Isay Weinfeld. The site features beautiful architectural renderings, an interactive neighborhood map, an availability matrix powered through a Douglas Elliman properties database API, and a press section.
